Gavin Mccormack

My name is Gavin McCormack. I'm currently the principal at Farmhouse Montessori School in Sydney . I am passionate about teaching and pedagogy. I have taught for over 20 years in several countries across the world. Born in England, I moved to France, Spain, Korea and Australia, where I taught for 10 years in an Islamic school before training as a Montessori teacher where I have worked for the past 6 years.

Over my years as a teacher I have hundreds of teacher training workshops in schools across the globe including the U.K. France, Australia, India and Nepal. I am an advocate for innovative education practices and believe strongly in the development of essential skills in our students from an early age.

I am a regular visitor to Nepal Where I deliver Montessori training, and programming advice, Over the past 3 years, I trained several hundred teachers on classroom delivery techniques and lesson preparation. I currently run 2 Montessori training centers in the country and have built 3 schools and a Library in some of the most remote areas.
