Hi, I’m James. I’m an online learning specialist and a former teacher and headteacher with over twenty years of experience in education. Over the course of my career, I've had the privilege of visiting and working with schools all over the world—from Australia, China, and Finland to Kazakhstan, Qatar, Zambia, and the USA.

Currently, I work as an AI for Education Consultant with HOPE (Help Others Pursue Education). In this role, I’m directly supporting our International Conferences in Almaty and Astana, while building momentum through regional workshops across Kazakhstan and at various international events.

Previously, I was the Head of Community for the International Forums of Inclusion Practitioners (IFIP). During that time, I worked closely with the UNESCO team in Paris on the Global Inclusive Schools' Forum and its accompanying report. I also helped establish the IFIP G20 Inclusion Summit in São Paulo and had the honour of presenting our findings to the Ministerial G20 Meeting in Fortaleza, Brazil. On the digital side, I led the development of the Global Inclusive Teaching Initiative (GITI) online training course for teachers and TAs, alongside several other online programmes.

I've also taken part in Erasmus+ projects including, "Inclusion Stories" and "Inclusive Practices in Education – The Emergence of the European Forum of Inclusion Practitioners," which involved travelling for mobilities across Europe.

On the academic and professional honours side, I am a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA). I hold a First Class Honours degree in Visual Arts from the University of Kent at Canterbury, as well as a Master’s Degree in Computer Science. Years back, I was also incredibly proud to be part of the team that won a BAFTA award for online education in association with Channel 4 Learning for GridClub.
