Hey, I am Ogabidu Emmanuel, founder of Early Years Resources Hub. Where I teach teachers and parents and also provide resources- workbooks, worksheets and learning materials to make learning fun and meaningful for children.
For learning to be effective, teachers and parents need to understand 3 things
1. What children need and how they learn.
2. The kind of environment that supports them.
3. Their roles
I started my career in the early years and walk through primary then back to early years.
Over the years, I have trained over 1000 parents and teachers about the Montessori Principles and curriculum and it application in preschool.
Work Experience
- Head of Nursery - Present
Duties:
- Planning the training module for teachers
- Training of new and experienced teachers
- Performing the overall day-to-day school related activities to ensure that the school meets and complies with operating standards.
- Developing, designing and constantly upgrading the curriculum.
- Designing of workbooks.
- Motivating a team of 18 teachers to work for 180 children.
- Monitoring teacher’s conduct, timetable and lesson progression
- Planning teachers’ schedules
- Interviewing and recruiting teachers
- Being a role model by demonstrating positive work attitude.
- Working independently with minimum support/mentoring to accomplish goals.
- Understanding and knowing how various curriculum modules / components are delivered.
- Assistant Head Teacher. 2011
Duties: Supervise teachers, curriculum implementation, marking of class lesson notes, registers and diaries.
- Golden Good Shepherd (Class teacher, Nursery 2 & Basic 3). 2010
Duties: planning and writing of lesson notes, classroom arrangement and management, marking of register, diary entry, pupils’ assessment.
